Caroline Julianna Thompson is a documentary and fine art photographer. Growing

up in the rich story telling culture of Tennessee she was drawn to the visual story.

After completing her BA in photojournalism, she went on to finish her MFA in fine

art photography from the Academy of Art University where her stories evolved into

abstracted surreal dream journeys.

Thompson’s work is focused on symbolic communication, mythic rituals and the

element of the unseen. Through dreams she seeks to tap into the universal language

of symbolism to explore the larger shared journeys of life. Thompson works to

encourage a dialog about the commonality of connection through life experience

and the desire to probe our unconscious for deeper inner truths and the path back

to self.
